The job requires strong situational awareness, knowledge of park policies, and the ability to handle various security challenges in outdoor environments. Qualifications may vary based on the specific role and location.

What are the typical daily responsibilities for someone working in NPS Security?

Individuals working in NPS Security are usually responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine safety inspections, and responding to incidents or emergencies on park grounds. They frequently interact with park visitors to provide information, enforce rules, and promote a safe environment.
