Job Description Summary
The incumbent will direct a cross functional development team to deliver AI powered digital products and solutions to GE HealthCare customers. This role is responsible for ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and with high quality, while meeting regulatory, clinical, and customer requirements.
The Program Manager will drive clarity and execution across engineering, data science, regulatory, quality, cybersecurity, supply chain, marketing, service, and sales, by defining and prioritizing AI driven program objectives, critical success factors, and deliverables. This position plays a key role in advancing AI first development practices, motivating teams, and instilling a strong sense of urgency and accountability to meet program commitments. This role will lead programs supporting the development of a next-generation, AI-powered digital ecosystem for ultrasound, from early architecture and design through multi-generation product evolution.
The Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS) business consists of four subsegments:

AVS Digital serves as the enabling operating function to deliver a comprehensive suite of AI enabled digital solutions across all subsegments. As customers demand intelligent, data driven, and scalable digital solutions, the market for AI and cloud based healthcare platforms continues to expand. Our mission with AVS Digital is to develop a seamlessly connected ecosystem of AI enabled devices and software that delivers value beyond stand alone products-connecting clinicians, increasing diagnostic confidence, improving workflow efficiency, and providing scalable, secure, and affordable cloud solutions across customer segments and demographics. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in AI led product development and AI Development Lifecycle (AI DLC) to lead our largest and most complex digital and AI programs.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day execution of complex AI-driven digital programs, coordinating across global, cross-functional teams including software engineering, ML engineering, regulatory, clinical, and cybersecurity.
  • Drive AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) execution from concept ideation, data strategy, model development, validation, deployment, post-market monitoring, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Lead tollgate execution for NPI, requisition, and sustaining programs, ensuring alignment with customer CTQs, regulatory expectations, and AI/ML governance requirements.
  • Oversee delivery of AI-enabled initiatives, including proof-of-concepts, algorithm development, platform releases, cloud and edge deployments, clinical/pilot trials, and install base enhancements.
  • Champion the use of Generative AI tools across the development lifecycle (ideation, requirements generation, design, coding, testing, documentation, risk analysis, and commercialization readiness).
  • Collaborate with business segments, enterprise partners, regulatory and quality teams, and third-party vendors to deliver safe, effective, explainable, and compliant AI solutions.
  • Define, apply, and continuously improve AI-inclusive execution methodologies, agile/DevOps practices, and program management standards used across digital programs.
  • Identify and proactively manage AI-specific risks, including data quality, model bias, transparency, cybersecurity, clinical validation, scalability, and regulatory readiness.
  • Communicate program progress, AI maturity, risks, and critical decisions with clarity and consistency to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Apply strong technical and product judgment to resolve moderately complex AI, software, platform, and operational challenges.
  • Use data-driven insights, analytics, and cross-functional inputs to drive decision-making and recommend scalable, customer-focused AI solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in software and digital product development, including program management for AI-enabled or data-driven solutions.
  • Proven track record delivering cloud-first and AI-powered products from concept through commercialization in fast-paced, regulated environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), MLOps, data pipelines, mobile applications, edge computing, and medical device connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience managing programs aligned to an AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC)
  • Familiarity with subscription and recurring revenue business models, digital platforms, and AI-enabled SaaS offerings.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence across global, diverse teams including engineering, data science, clinical, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex dependencies, and competing stakeholder needs.
  • Proficiency with program and agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and AI lifecycle tooling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with comfort leveraging data and AI insights.
  • Solid understanding of PRD lifecycle, QMS, software lifecycle processes, and regulatory expectations for AI/ML.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled products in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, medical devices) is strongly preferred, including commercialization readiness.
  • Understanding of global medical device software and AI regulatory considerations, including FDA, EU MDR, and emerging AI regulations.

Desired Characteristics
  • Experience leading AI/ML product development in regulated industries such as healthcare or medical devices.
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent project management certifications.
  • Preferred experience executing GE HealthCare NPI programs
  • Experience integrating Generative AI tools into software engineering, documentation, testing, and operational workflows.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, prioritize conflicting requirements, and unblock AI and technology-driven challenges.
  • Proven experience leading distributed global teams and mentoring program and technical leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
