Job Title: Program Operations Lead Job Category: Project and Program Management Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: The Operations (Ops) Lead works closely with both the internal program and external customer office stakeholders to ensure a strong operations posture for a major software program. This individual collaborates with internal program management office (PMO), product, security, and systems engineering, integration and test (SEIT) organizations to ensure customer requirements are met to successfully promote software into operations in a production environment. They collaborate with the acquisition office, operations, and operations contractors to ensure factory issues and discrepancy reports are documented and prioritized for backlog. They draft and evolve end-user training material and operations manuals for operations personnel to employ as part of their mission and conduct dry runs and rehearsals and system and enterprise tests to ensure end-user readiness. This individual brings a strong positive reputation with key Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers and is regarded as a trusted industry partner. Responsibilities: * Serve as a program focal point for Mission Operations, providing leadership over the software sustainment life cycle in operations
* Facilitate the program's Transition to Operations (TTO) and responsiveness of team to customer identified needs through collaboration with Program Management, Government customer teams, Operations stakeholders, Security, Systems Engineering, and capability Product Owners
* Participate in appropriate customer discrepancy report review boards to support adjudication and addressing of identified DRs needed for operations
* Draft and revise training material, user guide, and other CDRL and documentation for both mission effectiveness and contract compliance
* Coordinate and conduct dry runs and rehearsals and enterprise and system test events to demonstrate readiness for operations
* Mentor and develop technical staff on operations mission priorities to achieve their full professional potential
* Ensure the program is postured and satisfies 24/7 on-call and issue triage support for the operational user community Qualifications: Required: * Current/active TS//SCI clearance
* 10+ years of experience on major software programs with some of that time spent as part of program leadership
* Prior experience with TTO of load-level ground software processing applications and cloud compute infrastructures
* Understanding of customer TTO procedures and protocols, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
* Prior experience with operations customers and/or prime contractors
* Positive, collaborative attitude to help inspire both internal and external stakeholders Desired: * Degree in Software Engineering or Development, Systems Engineering, Image Science, Electrical Engineering, or another related technical field
* Detailed understanding of current Sponsor SAR and EO imaging systems, related ground architectures, and current prime contractors
* Experience overseeing the development and roll-out of technical training materials and user guides for operations end-users
* Experience with earned value management systems (EVMS) and as an EVMS control account manager (CAM)
* Direct experience with GRID and the associated approval processes for software deployments
