As you progress and meet specific program requirements,ยน you can transition into management and complete a comprehensive six-month leadership development program focused on recruiting, coaching, and team development.
Phase 1: Build Experience as a Financial Professional
In your first year, you'll gain hands-on experience as a financial professional-building client relationships, growing your business, and developing a strong foundation in financial services. We'll equip you with comprehensive training, digital tools, and access to a broad suite of products and solutions.
Training & Resources
You will receive industry-leading training designed to help you build the skills and knowledge needed to grow in the role. If you meet the eligibility requirements and approvals to become an Associate Partner, you will receive a salary. The Associate Partner salary range is $60,000 - $150,000 (the minimum salary in California is $70,304.00, the minimum salary in Washington is $80,168.40, and the minimum salary in New York State is $62,353.20, except in New York City and Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties, where the minimum salary is $66,300.00).
In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible for certain bonuses and other incentives based on the performance of agents* in your unit, including additional compensation related to the agents you recruit and develop ("R&Ds"). R&Ds are additional compensation that is designed to increase your income and to reimburse for any reasonable and necessary expenses the Company does not otherwise reimburse.
You will also be eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits, life, long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment coverages, a pension plan, and a 401(k) savings plan.4

ยฒTo offer securities products, such as mutual funds, you must be a properly licensed registered representative of NYLIFE Securities LLC (member FINRA/SIPC), a Licensed Insurance Agency and the New York Life company. A Registered Representative may pursue becoming a Financial Advisor with Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser and a New York Life company. Qualifications and eligibility requirements include but are not limited to applicable FINRA general securities, state insurance and investment advisory licenses; compliance history; production standards; and required training. Requirements are subject to change.
3If you qualify for an Introductory (PTAS) Contract, you will preview an Agent career with New York Life as an independent contractor while continuing to work at your current job, with limited exceptions. PTAS Agents are not eligible for benefits. During this preview period of up to six months, any sales you make will continue to accrue until you either make enough sales to become a full-time Agent under a Training Allowance Subsidy (TAS) Contract or the passage of six months, whichever is earlier. If you do not become a full-time Agent, first-year commissions on any sales you made will be paid to you in a lump sum at the end of your PTAS contract period. If you become a full-time Agent under a TAS Contract, you will be credited with the commissions you accrued under the Introductory Contract.
