The position is scheduled for 2nd shift, with potential flexibility needed for off-shift training.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Production Operator in Small Paint Plant (SPP) is responsible for filling batches in the SPP. This includes the use of the Automated Pail Filling Room, scales/load cells, mixers, and any other equipment required to complete daily tasks. Position will also support job activities in other Operations areas.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow and adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures, batch tickets, process sheets, and safety policies.
  • Operate equipment used to fill batches, including automated pail filling systems, scales/load cells, mixers, filling pumps, and filling machines.
  • Fill finished goods into proper containers according to customer-specific IDIOS and prepare accurate container labels.
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials.
  • Participate in improvement teams and actively contribute ideas.
  • Identify potential off-quality products during processing and initiate appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established company abnormal process procedures.
  • Utilize company IT systems (SAP, Microsoft Access Database, Microsoft Office) to complete orders within the LPP process.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within production areas.
  • Maintain all assigned equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform job activities in other Operations areas outside of LPP as required.
  • Transport waste from the generation point to the 90-day Storage Area.
  • Properly close and label waste containers in compliance with NPAA procedures.

SALARY RANGE:

$17.39 to $25.75. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
