To thrive as a NOV Welder, you need strong welding skills (such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding), blueprint reading abilities, and typically a high school diploma or welding certification. Familiarity with welding machines, cutting tools, safety equipment, and industry standards like AWS or ASME codes is essential.
