Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant (Manufacturing) assist various roles within the Operations department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update metric sheets monthly
- OTD, Days late metric, DPPM metric and others
- Push labor from operations webpage spreadsheet
- Push labor in AX
- Help to place orders on department credit card
- Keep spreadsheet of purchases
- Keep hard copies of receipts
- Do monthly reconciliation needed by accounting
- Help with meetings as the note taker and ensuring that the actions are recorded and distributed post meeting
- Purchase requisition entry and management for the Manufacturing Engineering Team and machine shop.
- Help with asset tag creation
- Help with monthly asset review for accounting
- Help with engineering change orders.
- Scanning
- Scan older model folder information to go digital
- Scan completed travelers, etc.
- Kit checks
- Verify quantities and parts in kits. Allow planners to work more on the planning functions
- Utilize MRP to track and follow critical components
- Perform shipping / receiving support duties like repacking of finished goods, tape and reel, etc.
- Help with monitoring movement of key models through the production floor
- Production order review to assist planning department
- Run various MRP reports for manufacturing engineering team
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must have strong communication written and oral and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Understand MRP systems (preferred Microsoft AX) is preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy.
- Team player and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
- Must be able to work on ITAR data without a license.
Education, Experience and Training:
- Minimum of two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in complex manufacturing environment preferred
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
- This role is performed on-site and primary an in-office role.
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasionally standing, walking, or moving within the office or production department areas, including prolonged period of standing when needed.
- Must adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean and organized workspace
