Not For Profit information

What is a not for profit organization?

A not for profit organization is an entity that operates for a collective, public, or social benefit, rather than to generate profit for owners or investors. These organizations use any surplus revenues to further achieve their purpose or mission, rather than distributing profits to shareholders. Not for profits can include charities, foundations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups. They often rely on donations, grants, and volunteers to fund their activities and achieve their goals.
