Adjunct Faculty needed to teach hybrid classes in Deerfield Beach, Florida | Orlando, Florida | Falls Church, Virginia in Bible, Theology, and Christian Education

Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Member
Institution: Northpoint University
Locations: Florida (Deerfield Beach, Orlando); Falls Church, Virginia
Reports to: Academic Dean
Employment Type: Part-Time / Quarter-Based

Delivery Format: Hybrid – with the in-person component of the class taught in intensive format two consecutive days between 8-10 hours each day.

Position Summary: Northpoint University seeks Christ-centered, academically qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate or graduate courses in biblical and theological studies and Christian Education. Adjunct faculty members play a vital role in delivering excellent instruction rooted in a biblical worldview, mentoring students in their academic and spiritual development, and advancing the mission of the college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with the approved curriculum and institutional standards.
  • Facilitate meaningful classroom and/or online learning experiences that integrate academic excellence and biblical truth.
  • Prepare and submit syllabi, assignments, exams, and grading rubrics in accordance with academic policies.
  • Utilize Populi as the software platform for class instruction and management.
  • Maintain timely communication with students and respond to inquiries within 48 hours, preferably 24 hours.
  • Submit grades and required documentation by university deadlines.
  • Participate in faculty orientation and training sessions as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Northpoint University.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A master’s degree or higher in the appropriate academic discipline for undergraduate instruction and a doctorate for graduate education.
  • Demonstrated Christian faith and alignment with the college’s statement of faith, mission, and values.
  • Prior teaching experience, or evidence of the ability to teach effectively at the college level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching in a Bible college, seminary, or Christian higher education setting.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems.

Work Environment:

  • Courses may be taught online or in hybrid format (in person and online).
  • Availability to teach intensives for in person components.
  • Flexible schedule, typically involving evening or weekend hours.
