Trades Pro Specialist Northern Tool + Equipment
Locations: Lake Charles, LA Salem, VA Memphis, TN
If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers succeed, this is more than just another sales job.
As a Trades Pro Specialist, you'll become the trusted sales partner for local contractors, businesses, schools, municipalities, and government organizations. You'll build lasting customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and provide tailored solutions that help your customers get the tools and equipment they need to keep their operations running.
This isn't a traditional retail position. You'll own customer relationships, grow business within your local market, and play a key role in expanding Northern Tool + Equipment's commercial customer base-all while enjoying a predictable Monday-Friday schedule and the support of a nationally recognized company.

What You'll Do
Every day is different, but your focus is simple: help local businesses succeed while growing your customer portfolio.
You'll:
  • Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, businesses, schools, municipalities, and government customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions that help their businesses operate more efficiently.
  • Grow existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Follow up on leads through phone, email, and in-person conversations.
  • Prepare quotes, assist with bids, and help customers find the right products for their projects.
  • Partner closely with store leadership and sales teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Track customer interactions and sales opportunities using company systems.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes initiative, and loves building relationships.
You might be a great fit if you have experience in:
  • Sales
  • Business development
  • Retail sales
  • Customer service
  • Account management
  • Banking or financial services
  • Relationship-based customer support

You'll also bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of sales or customer-facing experience (B2B experience is a plus)

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset
  • A valid driver's license

Knowledge of tools or industrial products is helpful-but not required. We'll help you learn our products. What matters most is your ability to connect with customers and provide exceptional service.
