Job description

VCG is looking for a Cerner CareAware expert for a new implementation of Oracle Health Location Awareness (CareAware Tracking and Transfer Center) for a long term clinical informatics project based on the West coast. Specific scope details for this opening are listed below.

Common services required for both projects include:

  1. Coordinate and facilitate Project kick-offs.
  2. Assessment of Current State Review
  3. Requirements Gathering
  4. Non-prod Configuration
  5. Future State Review
  6. Future State Validation
  7. Maintenance Training
  8. Integration Testing
  9. Prod Configuration
  10. End User Training
  11. Go-Live support.
  12. Health Check
  13. Training of maintenance team and support of end user training

Scope of Work - Oracle Health Clinical Location Awareness:

  1. Implementation of Oracle Health Clinical Location Awareness (for patient and equipment). The tasks involve:
    2. Onboarding Onboarding to Oracle Health CareAware iBus Cloud environment.
    1. Reviewing current workflows and strategies for Real-Time Location Service (RTLS) deployment.
    2. Identifying optimization opportunities for future workflows aligned with RTLS design.
    3. Providing guidance on Oracle Health Millennium integration points and configuration.
    4. Configuring areas for RTLS service deployment.
    5. Supporting the creation of a driver to consume RTLS hardware provider's location information.
    6. Modifying floor plan image files and associating RTLS hardware data to specific locations within the Oracle Health CareAware Capacity Management environment.
    7. Assisting in integration testing of Oracle Health CareAware Capacity Management and RTLS partner solution - Sonitor, followed by unit/regression testing.
    8. Troubleshooting and resolving Oracle Health Clinical Location Awareness issues.
    9. Configuring sample patient and equipment badge assignments during maintenance training.
    10. Setting up standard Oracle Health Clinical Location Awareness gadgets and solution permissions for role-based security.
    11. Creating standard permission groups based on user roles and Enabling Organizational Security to match Oracle Health Millennium User organization assignments for multi-facility deployment.
    12. Recommending gadget Assist layout for end users.
    13. Configuring notifications to email.
    14. Providing a set of standard reports for Oracle Health Clinical Location Awareness using Oracle Health CareAware Reporting.

  2. The proponent will provide these services remotely and in person, as required and on as needed basis.
  3. The proponent qualifications must include the specialized skills and practical previous experience having successfully designed, built, and implemented this system for two or more other clients.
  4. The proponent will require a network account to provide these services. Northern Health will provide the Contractor with the required access to HealthSpaces documents and resources.

Scope of Work - Oracle Health Transfer Centre

  1. Implementation of Oracle Health Transfer Center. Tasks include:
    2. Onboarding to Oracle Health CareAware iBus Cloud environment.
    1. Designing, building, and configuring Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center as per Northern Health workflows.
    2. Configuring locations where Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center will be deployed - buildings, nursing stations, rooms, and beds.
    3. Providing future-state recommended practice standards to optimize workflow, which involves reviewing your current-state transfer center workflows and assisting in identifying optimization opportunities.
    4. Facilitating integration testing to validate future-state workflows.
    5. Providing end user training sessions and maintenance training on Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center build tools.
    6. Provide solution security controlled by the Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center Uniform Resource Locator published to user's Citrix shortcut access using a web portal.
    7. Providing a set of standard reports for Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center using Oracle Health CareAware Reporting.
    8. Providing guidance on integration points for Oracle Health Millennium Platform and Oracle Health CareAware Transfer Center
