Job description

What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a HP NonStop (Tandem) System Administrator within our Stored Value Solutions (SVS) division based in Louisville, Kentucky. In the role, the HP NonStop (Tandem) System Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical HP NonStop systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

As a HP NonStop (Tandem) System Administrator, you will be expected to out of our Louisville, KY office location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
  • Assigned workspace at our Louisville office location
  • Company-issued equipment
  • Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Administer and support HP NonStop (Tandem) servers in production and development environments.
  • Monitor system performance and availability; perform proactive maintenance.
  • Apply operating system patches and software updates.
  • Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support application teams with system configurations, performance tuning, and user access.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support off-hours maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience administering HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HP NonStop OS, Guardian, OSS, and utilities (e.g., FUP, SCF, TACL).
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and job scheduling (e.g., NetBatch, AutoSys).
  • Familiarity with security hardening, compliance, and audit procedures on NonStop.
  • Strong scripting skills (TACL, SQLCI, Perl, or Shell scripting preferred).
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Experience in industries requiring high availability and fault tolerance (e.g., banking, telecom, retail).
  • Knowledge of NonStop SQL/MP or SQL/MX.
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management processes (e.g., ITIL).
