Job Description & Requirements- Title: Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive officer is responsible for the overall day to day hospital operations of Coquille Valley Hospital as well as the strategic leadership, planning, development, direction, coordination and control of activity within patient care, clinical and clinical support service areas. Works collaboratively with leaders and staff to ensure that quality patient care is delivered in a cost-effective manner. Plans and directs the short and long range objectives/goals of the company to meet its financial and non-financial goals. Ensures synergy between people, processes, and strategies to execute business objectives/goals. Attracts, trains, develops, and retains talent to ensure business needs are met. Drives and builds revenue growth through developing new business strategies to improve overall performance. Communicates key information to respective stakeholders. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and policies.
The Ideal Candidate- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Significant hospital managerial experience- 5-10 Years of CEO experience preferred. CEO experience in a Critical Access Hospital environment highly preferred.
- Record of success in quality outcomes, physician relations, finance, planning and marketing of hospital programs and services.
- Keen focus on daily operational excellence in complex and competitive markets.
- Strong work ethic, high integrity, outstanding interpersonal skills.
Coquille Valley Hospital is a $47M net revenue Critical Access Hospital located in Coquille, OR. The 51,000-square-foot facility was built in 2012. Bond-funded and 100% union-built, the three-story community hospital has 16 beds and 9,000-square-feet of covered parking. As a critical access facility, the hospital offers a broad range of health services for the people of Coquille, Myrtle Point, Powers, Bridge and Fairview, and its state-of-the-art hospital benefits many who visit and live in the Coquille River Valley. The Coquille Valley Hospital District is a tax-exempt, 501.C.3, municipal corporation, organized as a political subdivision (health district) under Oregon state statutes (ORS Chapter 440). It is owned by the people who live within the district’s geographic boundaries, principally within the City of Coquille, Oregon.
