Under the general direction of the Training and Development Manager, this role designs, develops, coordinates, and evaluates learning content, training programs, and development resources that support employee growth, operational consistency, and ministry alignment. The ideal candidate brings both instructional craft and relational presence, thriving in environments where systems are being created rather than just maintained.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive learning solutions, including leadership and skill pathways, original training content, and materials, by conducting needs and gap analyses and partnering with SMEs to drive competency, service excellence, and spiritual growth.
  • Oversee PSC call evaluation (QA) processes to validate Partner Minister competencies and service standards, reinforcing learning through live virtual facilitation and on-the-job coaching.

  • Administer and coordinate training operations, including scheduling sessions, maintaining materials and records in LMS systems, tracking completion, and communicating training activities to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve training effectiveness, administering assessments and feedback tools, analyzing data to inform enhancements, and applying adult learning best practices to strengthen program quality.

Organizational Partnership & Training Expansion

  • Partner cross-functionally with HR and ministry leaders to support employee development, performance planning, and hiring efforts, providing training insights and aligning initiatives with operational goals.
  • Champion culture and values integration, ensuring all training, messaging, and SOPs reflect core values and promote excellence, unity, and service across departments.
  • Drive multi-department training expansion by conducting needs assessments, identifying skill gaps and priorities, and building strong partnerships with leaders to deliver scalable, aligned learning solutions.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in education, HR, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience); OR 1-2+ years in training, facilitation, instructional design, or adult education, preferably within ministry, nonprofit, or service-based environments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Facilitation & Communication: Proven ability to lead engaging in-person and virtual training, clearly communicate complex concepts, and build trust with diverse audiences through strong relational skills.
  • Technical & Professional Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, LMS platforms, and virtual training tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams); knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles preferred; experience supporting call center or customer service environments a plus.
  • Core Competencies & Cultural Alignment: Demonstrates organizational agility, attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality; fosters collaboration across cultures; actively pursues growth while aligning with KCM’s mission, values, and faith-based culture, reflecting a service-centered mindset in all interactions.

TYPICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Operates in a standard office environment with regular movement between departments and occasional off-site training; requires extended screen time for virtual facilitation and content development.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during training sessions and daily work activities, and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
