  • Select and mount appropriate tooling for machining operations.
  • Determine the appropriate feed and operating speeds for efficient machining.
  • Perform cutting off, trimming, counter sinking, drilling, and other machining operations.
  • Verify the dimensional accuracy of machined parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand machining requirements.
  • Utilize shop math skills to perform calculations and ensure accurate machining processes.
  • Transfer computer files to the numeric controller to initiate machining operations.
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper functioning.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.

  • Identify and communicate any issues or concerns regarding machine performance or product quality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of machining operations, including production logs and inspection records.
  • Stay updated with the latest machining techniques, technologies, and industry trends
  • Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects, imperfections, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Report any issues or deviations to the supervisor or appropriate personnel.
