Summary
The University of Minnesota/CentraCare St. Cloud Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team as Associate Program Director. This role blends resident teaching, program leadership, and clinical practice within a well-established residency program committed to innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities include resident and medical student education, evaluation and competency assessment, mentorship, support of accreditation activities, recruitment, and curriculum development - including integration of our new Lifestyle Medicine curriculum.
This position offers the opportunity to join as an Associate Program Director with the potential for career advancement in the program. We welcome applicants who have interest in career advancement within GME.
Schedule
  • Full-time | 1.0 FTE | Onsite - Family Health Clinic
  • Time will be split between the following three roles
  • Program Leadership and GME Administration: Dedicated time for program administration and curriculum development including integration of our program's training in lifestyle medicine.
  • Precepting Residents: Engage in teaching and guiding residents in the clinic or the hospital
  • Clinical Practice: Provide clinical care in our residency clinic and inpatient care at St. Cloud Hospital. Maternity care preferred, however not required.
  • Call 1:8

Pay and Benefits
  • Salary range: $325,000 - $360,000 per year
    • Pay may be determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, knowledge, location, and internal equity
    • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
    • $4750 per year CME/equipment allowance
    • May be eligible for additional pay through bonuses and quality incentives.

Qualifications
Required:
  • BE/BC in Family Medicine
  • Eligibility for Minnesota medical licensure
  • Experience as a Family Medicine Physician

Preferred:
  • Physicians with a DO background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Program Information
This fully accredited, community-based Family Medicine residency program has been training physicians since 1996 and offers a strong emphasis on full-spectrum family medicine and preparation for rural practice, including inpatient, outpatient, and maternity care. The program supports 18 residents in a 6-6-6 model and fosters a collaborative, supportive learning environment led by a well-rounded faculty. Opportunities for faculty growth and development in lifestyle medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, and treatment of opioid addiction. Residents and faculty work within a state-of-the-art hospital and outpatient clinic emphasizing team-based care for a diverse and vulnerable patient population. The program is sponsored by the University of Minnesota and enjoys close collaboration with the University of Minnesota Medical School and Department of Family Medicine including the new regional campus in St. Cloud. We partner with the Willmar Family Medicine Rural Training Program.
