Job description

The Treasury Sales Officer is responsible for developing new treasury management relationships and expanding existing commercial banking relationships by delivering treasury solutions that help business clients improve cash flow, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate payment fraud risk. This position serves as a trusted advisor to business customers and partners closely with Commercial Relationship Managers, Business Bankers, and Treasury Operations personnel to drive deposit growth, treasury fee income, and overall client profitability.
The Treasury Sales Officer proactively identifies opportunities, conducts needs assessments, recommends treasury management solutions, and manages the implementation process to ensure an exceptional client experience. The position is expected to maintain strong market visibility throughout their region of oversight and contribute to the Bank's strategic growth objectives.
Salary range: $70,720.00 - $180,825.00 annually, DOE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
Business Development and Sales
  • Develop new treasury management relationships with commercial, agricultural, nonprofit, municipal, and professional service clients.
  • Generate treasury management revenue through business development and client referrals.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with Commercial Relationship Managers and Business Bankers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase deposits, fee income, and treasury product utilization.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and prospect portfolio.
  • Represent the Bank at community, industry, and networking events.

Treasury Management Consulting
  • Analyze clients' payment processes, cash flow needs, and risk management requirements.
  • Recommend customized treasury management solutions designed to improve efficiency and security.
  • Deliver professional treasury management presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing analyses, profitability assessments, and service agreements.
  • Provide guidance regarding best practices in cash management and fraud prevention.

Product Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for:

    • Positive Pay
    • ACH Positive Pay
    • Remote Deposit Capture
    • Commercial Online Banking
    • Account Analysis
    • Lockbox Services
    • Merchant Services

Relationship Management
  • Maintain ongoing contact with existing treasury clients to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct periodic client reviews and treasury health assessments.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and implementation of treasury services.
  • Resolve client issues through effective coordination with internal partners.
  • Foster strong relationships that promote client retention and satisfaction.

Risk Management and Compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, industry standards, and Bank policies.
  • Ensure treasury solutions are delivered in accordance with Bank risk management practices.
  • Understand NACHA Rules, wire transfer requirements, BSA/AML expectations, fraud prevention protocols, and UCC Article 4A principles.
  • Properly document sales activities, client communications, and implementation requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or
ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.  Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a combination of education and experience in business, accounting, finance or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Treasury Management, Cash Management or Commercial Banking.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in evaluating the financial needs of clients and skilled at developing a customized package of Bank products and services to meet those needs.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques in relation to the banking industry.
