$235,000 – $410,000

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, and innovative businesses in sophisticated patent litigation and intellectual property disputes.

Ideal Background

• 2–5 years of patent litigation or intellectual property litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience handling patent infringement litigation in federal courts throughout all phases of litigation

• Experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, claim construction briefs, discovery requests and responses, expert reports, deposition outlines, and trial materials

• Experience representing technology companies, software developers, hardware manufacturers, telecommunications providers, financial institutions, life sciences companies, or industrial manufacturers

• Experience litigating matters involving competitor disputes, non-practicing entities (NPEs), and other complex patent matters

• Technical background or an advanced degree in engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, life sciences, or another scientific discipline is preferred

• Experience with PTAB proceedings, inter partes reviews (IPRs), or Federal Circuit appeals is a plus

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
