About the Role:

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and managing our Salesforce environment. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, developing scalable solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation and administration of the Salesforce CRM platform. This role is primarily focused on Salesforce development (approximately 70%), complemented by Salesforce administration and business support responsibilities (approximately 20%), with the remaining time dedicated to supporting adjacent business systems. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Developer (70%)

  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex Classes, Apex Controllers, Apex Triggers, Flows, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Design scalable, maintainable solutions that balance business needs with technical best practices.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into thoughtful, user-friendly Salesforce solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and estimation sessions.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to clarify requirements, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively identify gaps before development begins.
  • Deliver high-quality work within sprint commitments while adapting to changing business priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform enhancements and recommend opportunities to improve system functionality and user experience.
  • Support day‑to‑day Salesforce administration activities, including user management, security, reports, dashboards, Flows, validation rules, and system maintenance.

  • Diagnose and resolve break/fix requests and minor enhancements for business systems; document root cause, remediation steps, and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to coordinate releases, patches, and production changes for business applications; validate changes via UAT and communicate impacts to end users.
  • Maintain system documentation for supported business applications (configuration notes, integration mappings, support runbooks, and end‑user guides).
  • Monitor and help improve data quality and master data governance processes impacting business systems (e.g., chart of accounts mappings, cost centers, departments, and vendor records).
  • Support reporting and operational analytics needs spanning Salesforce and business applications, including reconciliation support and ad hoc extracts for Finance/Operations.
  • Ensure consistent incident/request intake and prioritization through the ticketing system, meeting defined SLAs and communicating status updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience with exposure to Salesforce administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce development tools and languages, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOSL, and SOQL.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, including Flows, security, validation rules, reporting, dashboards, and user management, with a willingness to continue developing administrative expertise.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and web services.Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in a Scrum team.
