Job description

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Schedule: Nights; 36 hours per week, Tuesday through Thursday

Assignment Details:

  • Contract Length: Not specified
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

  • License: Pending state/compact license accepted
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
  • Experience: 1+ year clinical RN experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
  • Skills:
    • Telemetry/cardio monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
    • Non-invasive airway support: BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen delivery
    • Tracheostomy care, chest tube management, wound care/Wound VAC
    • Vascular access: peripheral IVs, PICC/central line care, phlebotomy
    • Blood product administration, ABG interpretation
    • Familiarity with pre/post cardiac/cath, post-MI, and dialysis management
    • Participation on Rapid Response/Code teams
    • Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical level of care
  • Monitor patient vital signs and status, identifying any changes or concerns
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
