Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician - Day Shift | Lancaster, TX Millbrook Support Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our
day shift team in
Lancaster, TX.

Key Responsibilities • Prepare and dispense medications and maintain related records for patients.
• Package, label, and distribute medication doses prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain inventories of drugs and supplies, including stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates.
• Fill and stock medications in various automated devices and storage locations.
• Operate pharmacy automation systems such as Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish Cells, A-frames, repackaging equipment, and electronic scales.
• Read computer screens, use scanning equipment, and accurately select drugs/products by name, strength, and National Drug Code (NDC) number.
• Clean cells and perform first-level preventive maintenance, including vacuuming and minor equipment adjustments.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and required safety protocols.
• Understand and apply proper precautions for handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
• Perform duties specific to Certified Pharmacy Technicians, including:
- Manually fill any specialized prescriptions
- Puck Exception area for QA duties.
- Main line Exception for QA Duties.
- Canister Verification Duties
- Canister Replenishment Duties.
Certifications • Non-certified technicians must have at least
6 months of experience (unless otherwise authorized by the respective CMOP) in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting, or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Program.
- GED or High School Diploma Required
• Certification is
highly encouraged, as several processes and equipment types require certified technicians.
• Certification or registration may be required based on
State Guidelines.
Technical & Clinical Skills • Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, medical terminology, and drug classifications.
• Excellent computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and documentation protocols.
Experience • Preferred: Minimum of
6 months of experience in a pharmacy environment (mail order, hospital, retail, or long-term care).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands to handle materials and operate pharmacy equipment.
• Comfortable working in a
high-volume, production-oriented mail-order pharmacy.
• Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 25 lbs.
• Work is performed in a
secure, climate-controlled pharmacy environment during
day shift hours.
