  • Student Employment at DigiPen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job
  • Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
  • Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.
Bytes is hiring! Bytes Cafe & Lounge is committed to curating high-quality food service as well as a welcoming social hub to our campus community. Our mission is to provide balanced and affordable meals, while placing food safety and sanitation first. Bytes is looking for students looking to work in a fun and efficient customer service environment.
POSITION: Bytes Student Team Member, F25-Su26
Reports to: Dustin Nick
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve hot food to the students and staff
• Make sure the food line is clean and organized
• Be able to use the POS terminals to process customer orders
• Restock the student store with drinks, snacks, and other items
• Ensure the student store is clean and organized
• Engage guests with a friendly attitude
Competencies and further details:
• Strong verbal and communication skills required
• Must possess a WA food handler's card or obtain one within the first week of working - DigiPen will cover the associated costs
• No experience needed - training will be provided
• PPE will be provided to you, to include non-slip shoes
• Uniform will be provided
• You will receive one meal per shift
Expected dates of employment: September 2, 2025 - August 28, 2026
Expected number of hours per week: up to 20
Wage Range:
$17.25 per hour
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
  • Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Good Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for and have been offered a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived. Once the Waiver is returned to us, we'll continue you through the hiring process.
