Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Quakertown, PA | Accessible from Bucks County, the Lehigh Valley, and Central New Jersey
Pediatric Specialty Care in Quakertown, PA is seeking Registered Nurses who are prepared for the acuity, complexity, and clinical responsibility involved in caring for medically fragile and technology-dependent children and young adults.
This is more than an opportunity to work with children. Our RNs provide skilled nursing care to residents with complex medical and developmental needs in a pediatric long-term care environment. We are especially interested in nurses with NICU or step-down NICU experience who understand the importance of close clinical observation, thoughtful intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and consistency of care.

  • Day shift: 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every-other-weekend requirement for regularly scheduled positions

Responsibilities
What You'll Do As a Registered Nurse at PSC Point Pleasant, you will:
  • Provide direct nursing care based on each resident's medical, physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
  • Assess resident conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in a resident's condition.
  • Carry out treatments and clinical interventions in accordance with established nursing practices and organizational procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Help coordinate consistent, resident-centered care across shifts and disciplines.
  • Guide and monitor non-licensed care team members within the RN's assigned scope.
  • Support clinical quality, resident safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements and Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN) (Pediatrics) - Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking an RN who understands that caring for medically complex children requires more than an interest in pediatrics. Successful nurses in this environment bring clinical attentiveness, preparedness, sound judgment, and a commitment to learning each resident's individual needs.
  • Credentials as a active Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania or applicable multistate license/qualifying multistate Nurse Licensure Compact license - including Ohio and West Virginia
  • Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
  • NICU or step-down NICU experience is strongly valued; Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred
  • Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
  • Experience caring for medically fragile or technology-dependent children is welcomed.
  • Nurses who are new to pediatric long-term care may be considered based on their clinical preparation and relevant experience.
  • Recent graduates with relevant high-acuity clinical training are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be at last 21 years of age
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
