Medical Office Receptionist
Summary/Objective
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient service while supporting daily administrative and clinical operations in a fast-paced medical office. This position is part-time (30 hours a week) and benefit-eligible. Minimum starting pay is $19.50 per hour, depending on prior experience. The daily hours for this position are M, T, Th, F, 8:15 AM-4:15 PM (no weekends or holidays).
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Process patient referrals
  • Upload, scan, fax, and shred patient documents while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Prepare, clean, sanitize, and sterilize patient examination rooms between visits
  • Restock patient rooms and clinical supplies as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative and patient care support tasks
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous medical office, receptionist, and /or healthcare experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy healthcare setting
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
