Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Technician II to support product engineering activities related to product validation, verification, testing, and analysis. This role is responsible for conducting instrumented laboratory and field tests, analyzing performance data, troubleshooting engineering issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems along with strong problem-solving and technical documentation skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform instrumented laboratory and field testing using established procedures to validate and verify product performance against specifications.
  • Support assigned product groups throughout product validation and verification activities associated with production requirements.
  • Install and configure instrumentation and data acquisition systems for testing activities.
  • Analyze test data, identify issues, draw conclusions, and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product performance issues and support corrective action implementation and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain testing procedures, documentation, and engineering records.
  • Provide input and recommendations for product improvements and design changes.
  • Support reliability analysis and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, test operators, and cross-functional teams to execute testing plans and project activities.
  • Schedule and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines.
  • Provide work direction and technical guidance to test operators as needed.
  • Utilize engineering tools, systems, and databases to document and manage testing activities.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in:
    • Engineering Technology
    • Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Electrical Engineering Technology
    • Agricultural Sciences
    • Related technical discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in:
    • Engineering testing and analysis
    • Product validation and verification
    • Product design support
    • Engineering laboratory or field testing
  • Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation setup.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering procedures and technical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reliability testing and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering development processes such as EPDP, ETDP, or ECAP.
