Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours | 40 Hours Per Week
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Start times may vary: 7:45 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM)

Pay Rate:
Local: $50 - $58/hour
Travel: $60 - $69/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic for an exciting Travel or Local job in Santa Rosa, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Administer oncology and infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders and treatment protocols.

  • Perform approximately 6 infusion treatments and 1-2 port draws daily.

  • Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to treatments and medications.

  • Operate and troubleshoot Alaris Infusion Pumps and CADD Ambulatory Pumps.

  • Access, maintain, and manage central venous access devices and ports.

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and symptom management.

  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

  • Monitor for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to infusion-related emergencies.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

  • Ensure compliance with oncology nursing standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.

  • Minimum 1 year of Oncology RN experience.

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • Current ONCC or ONS Oncology Certification.

  • Experience with Alaris Infusion Pumps and CADD Ambulatory Pumps.

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.

  • Ability to provide compassionate care to oncology patients throughout the treatment process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering infusion therapies in an outpatient oncology setting.

  • EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience.

  • Chemotherapy and infusion nursing experience.

  • Experience with central venous access devices and port management.
