What is a Weekend Infusion RN job?

A Weekend Infusion RN is a registered nurse who administers intravenous (IV) therapies, medications, and treatments to patients during weekends. They work in outpatient clinics, hospitals, or home health settings, ensuring safe and effective infusion therapy. Responsibilities include monitoring patients for reactions, maintaining IV access, and educating patients about their treatments. It is ideal for nurses seeking flexible weekend hours while providing critical care to patients requiring infusion services.

What are the typical responsibilities and work environment for a Weekend Infusion RN?

As a Weekend Infusion RN, you will primarily administer intravenous medications, monitor patients for side effects, and educate them about their treatment plans—often in outpatient clinics, specialty centers, or sometimes patients' homes.
