VISITING FACULTY POSITIONS IN ACCOUNTING

The Freeman College of Management at Bucknell University seeks two full-time, visiting faculty members qualified to teach undergraduate accounting courses. We have needs in the following areas: Introduction to Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Audit, and Managerial Accounting. The appointment will start in August 2026 and last for one academic year (August 2026 - May 2027).

The Freeman College, an AACSB-accredited unit, offers innovative professional education in the context of one of the nation's leading liberal arts universities. We believe that an education that combines technical skills and deep intellectual exploration is the best preparation for thoughtful and capable leaders. Thus, we seek faculty members capable of contributing to this mission. We also embrace the teacher-scholar model. Although visiting faculty are not required to engage in research, we look with particular favor on those who are making creative intellectual contributions to both teaching and scholarship in their fields. The teaching load for visiting faculty members is six classes per year.

A record of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Qualified candidates will have completed a Master's degree in a relevant field or have substantial commensurate professional experience within accounting. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
