Position Summary:
Valor Healthcare is looking for licensed psychologists to conduct virtual psychological evaluations of candidates for the Forest Ranger program to support the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Office of Public Protection (OPP). This is a long-term contract position working as a 1099 independent contractor on an as-needed basis. The hours for this contract will fluctuate weekly/monthly.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Must have excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate sound clinical judgment into clear and appropriate recommendations for initial or continued employment.
โ€ข Complete and submit all required documentation expeditiously and accurately in the required format.
โ€ข Provide in-person evaluations.
โ€ข Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Qualifications:
โ€ข PsyD or PhD from an accredited doctoral program.
โ€ข Must have a valid and unrestricted NY state license.
โ€ข Must have at least three (3) years of prior experience in assessing the suitability of candidates for employment as police officers/law enforcement.
โ€ข Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records
โ€ข Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
โ€ข Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.
$175 - $200 per evaluation 1099 contractor. Final compensation will be based on relevant factors, including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
