We are authentic, genuine, and continually strive for excellence in everything we do.   Millborn Seeds is seeking a Seed Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Hemingford, Nebraska seed cleaning, storage, & packaging facility. This is a player-coach role — someone who works alongside the team in the operation while also owning site leadership, execution, and accountability. The Plant Manager is the primary lead for the facility, responsible for production execution, troubleshooting, team leadership, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for maximizing plant throughput and sellable pounds. This is achieved by optimizing operational capacity, managing resources effectively, and maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate thinks like an owner, solves problems as they arise, and takes pride in running a clean, efficient, and reliable operation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProduction & Operations (Hands-On)Execute the daily and weekly processing schedule to meet timing and quality expectationsOperate and oversee seed cleaning equipment and processesPerform basic machine troubleshooting and coordinate maintenance needsEnsure cleaning processes meet quality and specification requirementsMaximize sellable pounds for each lot/run of product being processedPackage cleaned products accurately and efficientlyPrepare outbound shipments and ensure readiness for scheduled pickupsLoad and unload bulk seed shipments in a safe and timely mannerEnsure all equipment is operational, maintained, and ready to runMaintain a clean, organized, and safe facility Leadership & Site OwnershipLead and support a small on-site team, setting expectations and pace for daily execution Act as the main point of accountability for the Hemingford facilityTroubleshoot operational issues and make real-time decisions to keep production movingPrepare and organize bin and floor place so it does not inhibit productionCoach and train team members on equipment, processes, quality, and safetyCreate a positive, high-accountability work environment aligned with Millborn's cultural values — especially during peak seasonCommunicate effectively with operations leadership and supporting teamsContinuous Improvement & Standard WorkOwn the daily and weekly work scheduleAlign staffing and labor to workload and throughput goalsDevelop processes or workflows that allow the team to recognize quality concerns timely to not negatively impact production or customer experienceTakes responsibility and ownership of all functions, needs, and operational improvements over the siteContribute to ongoing process optimization and efficiency improvementsIdentify recurring issues and drive root-cause solutionsThink ahead operationally — anticipating what’s coming to prevent bottlenecks What Success Looks LikeThe facility runs reliably, safely, and efficientlyWork is completed without bottlenecks or idle timeProduction schedules are met with consistent quality  Quality checks are consistent and enforcedIssues are addressed quickly, not passed alongThe team is supported, clear on expectations, and held accountableThe site reflects ownership — organized, clean, and well-run REQUIREMENTSPrior experience in seed cleaning, handling, agriculture, or manufacturing operationsWillingness to work long hours as needed during peak seasonsExperience working in and around ag equipmentThrives under pressure in a progressive, fast-paced environmentPositive mindset through challenging workloadUltimate Team Player with the understanding of being Humble, Hungry, and SmartAbility to multitask without sacrificing qualityExceptional attention to detailAbility to lift 60 lbsValid driver's license PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSForklift experienceBasic experience in ag equipment repairs/mechanics preferred but not requiredExperience leading or training others (formal title not required)
