DEPARTMENT: Licensing
STATUS: Full-time, permanent
REPORTS TO: Licensing Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work normal business hours but must be flexible
and available to occasionally work early mornings, evenings or weekends to meet the needs of the
business.
SUMMARY: Responsibilities include coordination, evaluation and processing of gaming, employee and vendor background licensing investigations for the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews Gaming Packets with prospective casino vendors and employees ensuring applications
are complete.
2. Conducts background investigations for all gaming applicants assuring compliance with all tribal,
federal and state laws, regulations and procedures.
3. Process applicant information into background system and maintain profiles for vendor and
employees.
4. Read and understand background and FBI reports, travel to courts and police departments for
further investigation, review files and capable of finding discrepancies.
5. Adhere to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Policy and Procedures.
6. Understanding of DOJ BGC Compact Key Employees are and what tribal, federal and state laws
require for them.
7. Understanding of NIGC Key and Primary Management Employees are and what tribal, federal and
state laws require for them.
8. Verify potential and current vendor personal references, gaming and employment history.
9. Verify potential employee or current employee personal references, gaming and employment
history.
10. Data entry, update and maintain spreadsheets.
11. Maintain a complete and confidential filing system for all investigation materials and related
information.
12. Process applicant fingerprints with Livescan computerized fingerprint system.
13. Create employee/vendor badges with necessary software and camera system.
14. Ensure proper Casino Proximity Card access controls are provided to each employee.
15. Generate detailed and accurate reports for Gaming Commission use.
16. Prepare files for transmission to federal and state regulatory agencies as required.
17. Prepare investigation files and reports regarding license suitability for Gaming Commission review
and approval.
18. Abide by all Commission confidentiality and other policies and procedures.
19. Communicate other gaming regulatory agencies for the needs of the department.
20. Maintain all expiration dates for all active licenses as required per tribal, federal and state laws.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
1. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
2. Three (3) years of administrative experience required.
3. Background investigation experience preferred.
4. Must have basic knowledge of Windows based applications including MS-Office (Word, Excel), MSOutlook and Adobe Acrobat.
5. Must be willing to travel during business hours.
6. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
7. Must have experience working with highly confidential information.
8. Must be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, establish and meet deadlines.
9. Must be able to work under extreme pressure.
10. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
11. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
12. Must present a professional appearance at all times.
13. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the
gaming enterprise business.
EDUCATION:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
2. Ability to read, speak and understand Spanish preferred.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this
position.
4. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
5. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

3. Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.
4. Must be able to obtain CJIS Security and Privacy certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
2. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty five (25) pounds.
3. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
