Position Title: Nutrition Assistant

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

If Not a Standard Work Schedule: 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with all food related activities at the sites in the south (Anthony, Vado, Berino) and in the North if needed; Deliver food for special activities monthly; Deliver meals on days that the school district is not in operation; Coordinate with student families; Monthly checks for fire alarms, 90 minute lighting tests, and fire drills; maintain log of daily health and safety sheets for each class room; CACFP classroom monitoring; vision and hearing screening; uploads records of medical, dental and immunization information for each student in GoEngage; attend quarterly HAC meetings; participate in representing the program at health related community events; participate in recruiting events; ordering of food related items for nutritional activities; ordering of meal serving necessities for daily classroom meals; coordinate with environmental inspection entities; coordinate with annual fire marshal inspection; assist with other duties as required.
