Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, requiring WI or compact RN licensure and med-surg or inpatient rehab experience.

Details
  • Free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting
  • Rehab Nursing IRF unit serving adults with high acuity needs recovering from stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, plus vital machines, EKG machines, and BGM
  • EPIC EMR used for charting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
  • Call requirements apply
  • No current float requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
Requirements
  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required
  • Med-surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred, especially related to patient acuity
  • 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • AHA certifications required
Additional Information
  • Assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed to support patient safety in a unit that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
  • Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
  • Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, with two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift
  • Staff not permitted to stay past shift end time unless approved by house supervisor
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
