Job description

Experienced Japanese/English SIMULTANEOUS Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese). 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or if no college, at least 5 years of interpretation experience.
Requirements:
Provide accurate SIMULTANEOUS interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for meetings. As an interpreter it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand. Although translation is minimal, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and whennecessary.
Morning-shift interpreter to support meetings scheduled between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. ET, Monday through Thursday (excluding Fridays). Actual hours may vary depending on candidate experience, skill level, and the meeting schedule. Occasionally, may also be asked to support evening meetings.

Work hours may fluctuate to meet project demands; however, the goal is to maintain an average of 20 hours per week. If the number of meetings increases, weekly hours may increase accordingly.
