Job description

Night Shift Miller - Teutopolis, IL
Compensation:
  • Starting wage range is $20.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience
  • PTO available after 7 days
  • Overtime premiums paid over 40 hours worked in a week.
  • Double time pay for time worked on Sundays.
  • Bonus based on financial performance of the company.

Responsibilities: Blending, cleaning and tempering of wheat. Monitor proper operation of the mill; maintain a high flour yield and quality on all grades or blends of flours as specifications dictate. Inspect and complete samples of flour as often as required. Route flour grades and blends into proper storage bins. Maintain product safety by following all GMP's and HACCP program set forth for a food plant. Collect samples of finished flour for complete analysis by laboratory personnel. Administer chlorine applications by making pH checks on bleached flour and document the results. Inspect entire mill area for malfunctioning equipment, poor housekeeping, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Individual must be able to work independently, able to multitask, basic computer skills and have good communication skills.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent, with preference toward post-secondary technical schooling.
  • Strong decision-making abilities required.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds, ride a manlift, frequently utilize 8 flights of stairs and be on their feet for extended periods during 12 hour shifts.
  • Must be able and willing to work multiple, rotating shifts.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions in a manufacturing plant.
  • Additional educational opportunities and training will be provided.
Hours: Rotating Night Shift 5:00pm - 5:00am including weekends with overtime as needed
