Job description

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the hotel's Finance Department by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with Hyatt policies and accounting standards. The role works closely with department managers and the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and month-end journal entries.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Review and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash transactions.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and labor reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with Hyatt accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with audits and provide requested documentation.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
