Job description

Registered Nurse - Weekends

Join a growing healthcare system at LifeBridge Health's Northwest Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our Surgical/Orthopedic Unit. As a member of the patient care team, you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

The Surgical/Orthopedic unit is an acute care unit located at Northwest Hospital. This unit provides care for both medical and surgical patients. As the designated surgical unit, this 40-bed unit offers an excellent opportunity for nurses to expand their clinical knowledge and skills, including medical foundation and surgical specialty. The unit provides exposure to various surgical specialties, such as general surgery, colorectal, orthopedics, bariatric, urology, and others, allowing the team members to learn and develop a variety of specialized surgical-related nursing skills. Although the unit accommodates medical patients, it is a non-telemetry unit. Staff members must use strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes. The team works together to provide safe, high-quality care while maintaining a patient-centered approach with multidisciplinary collaboration. SGOR staff members are highly motivated, friendly, outgoing, and prioritize patients and their care.

Credentials:
Essential:

  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact State license
  • ADN or BSN required (BSN preferred)
  • BLS required (AHA or Red Cross)

Experience:
Essential: Less than one year

Pay Range: $37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
