The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth store operations, team development, and exceptional customer experiences. As a key leader, the ASM is responsible for guiding and mentoring On-Duty Managers (ODMs), Drivers, and Kitchen staff while executing daily objectives that align with Tiff’s Treats’ operational and service goals. ASMs collaborate closely with Store Managers (SMs), District Managers (DMs), and other leaders across the district to foster teamwork, optimize store performance, and uphold company values. In this role, you will help create a positive, high-energy work environment while ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable “warm cookie moment.” This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. The schedule will be flexible, yet varied, encompassing day, night, and some weekend shifts, typically between 7 AM and 11 PM.

What You’ll Do:

  • People Leadership & Team Development
  • Onboard top talent to build a high-performing team.
  • Assist in hourly hiring by conducting interviews, facilitating orientation, and providing hands-on training.
  • Develop and coach team members through ongoing training, performance feedback, and mentorship.
  • Support performance management, including evaluations, coaching conversations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to uphold HR policies and compliance while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Lead and manage a team of 3-10 team members per shift, ensuring smooth operations.

Store Operations & Efficiency

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Lead pre-shift huddles and maintain clear communication through store planning tools.
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and operating at peak efficiency.
  • Manage shift execution, approve schedules, and ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Monitor and optimize ordering, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional service standards by coaching and leading the team.
  • Champion company initiatives including Local Store Marketing (LSM) efforts to engage the community.
  • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
  • Support the front-line team with greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring order accuracy.

Profitability & Business Growth

  • Manage inventory counts, reporting, and invoice reconciliation to control costs.
  • Maintain awareness of store performance metrics (P&L), contributing to monthly profitability goals.
  • Ensure efficient delivery operations, optimizing routes and supporting drivers for timely service.
  • Execute closing procedures and complete daily paperwork with accuracy and integrity.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and grasp up to 50 lbs
  • Constant standing and/or walking with limited breaks, often in and out of extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.

  • Driver must have clean driving record, own vehicle, current and valid auto insurance and a valid driver’s license
  • Starting pay is $10/hr plus tips & fees (average $15-20/hr)
Kitchen Team Member
