Job description

  • Permanent, hospital-employed hospitalist physician
  • $300,000 base salary
  • $10,000sign on bonus
  • Up to $15,000incentive bonus (based on quality metrics)
  • 401K contribution (100% match first 3% and 50% on next 2% of salary), and CME
  • Very competitive Healthcare benefit package

  • iPad provided
  • Average 16 shifts a month which usually breaks down to 13 days and 3 nights
  • Night shift ratio will be reduced once a dedicated nocturnist is added
  • Variety of shifts: Short call (7am - about 5pm); Long call: 8am - 7pm;Swing shifts (only designated admission shift)1pm - 11pm
  • Other admissions are distributed amongst other physicians and 2 APPs
  • APPs also handle follow up patients unless a physician is requested
  • Round and go
  • Average shifts are 10 hrs
  • Ability to work extra shifts if desired
  • Available specialists: Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Heme/Onc, GI, ID, Tele Neurology, General Surgery, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics
  • "Partially-closed" ICU; Intensivists on site handle admissions until 4:00 PM. Intensivists on-call 24-7. No vent management.
  • No rapidresponse; handled by residency and 24/7 on-site anesthesia
  • Physicians respond to their own codes
  • Long call and night physicians respond to hospitalist codes only; residency handle al other codes
