Job Description
Title: Neuro ICU Travel Nurse - Adult
Schedule:
- Shift: Day/Night rotation (every 4 weeks)
- Day shift: 3x12 - 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Night shift: 3x12 - 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Weekends: every other weekend (Day weekends = Sat/Sun; Night weekends = Fri/Sat)
Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: ~36 hrs/week
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
- Experience with special equipment/procedures, including EVD/ICP monitoring, EEG, mechanical ventilation, bedside trach/PEG, central/arterial lines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients with conditions such as ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, SAH, seizures, neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and post-op neurosurgery.
- Manage ventilators, airway care, suctioning, and trach care.
- Monitor ICP/EVD and perform neuromonitoring care.
- Administer medications including hemodynamic and vasoactive drips and recognize dysrhythmias.
- Provide post-op neurosurgical care and manage stroke patients.
Compliance / Notes:
- Candidates must complete background checks and fingerprinting promptly after signing contract.
- Refer to the account manager regarding orientation, parking, and scrub policies.
