Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment, requiring 2 years of experience (or 1 year with trauma/high acuity experience) and current ARRT CT/R certification.

Details
  • Adult acute care setting including Emergency Department
  • 13-week travel assignment
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday/Saturday/Sunday
  • Only 1 CT Tech scheduled per night shift, supported by a CT assistant for transport, patient transfers, and room turnover
  • On-call is voluntary and appreciated but not required
  • Performs CT of abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic), and musculoskeletal trauma imaging
  • Special procedures include brain perfusion, vascular CTA, biopsies, and aspirations
  • Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment along with PACS and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) imaging
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and performs peripheral IV starts
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • May be required to float between sister facilities
Requirements
  • 2 years of CT Technologist experience preferred; 1 year considered with trauma or high acuity center experience
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • Valid WA state license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with contrast media administration and peripheral IV insertion
  • Experience in adult acute care and Emergency Department settings
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine with and without contrast
  • Performs specialized procedures such as brain perfusion studies, vascular CTA, biopsies, and aspirations
  • Works alongside a dedicated CT assistant for support with transport and room turnover during night shifts
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate
  • Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
  • Travelers must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
