ICU RN – Kona, HI – 13 Week Contract
Job Title: ICU RN
Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Facility: Kona Community Hospital

Start Date: 05/11/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12 Hour Days or Nights
Schedule: 72 hours every 2 weeks
Job Type: Contract
Urgency: Normal
EMR: EPIC
Holiday Coverage: Required
 
Compensation: $65.00/hr to $70.00/hr 
 
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment at Kona Community Hospital in Hawaii. This is a strong opportunity for a critical care nurse who is comfortable in a smaller ICU environment and flexible with patient care needs.
Unit Details
  • 9-bed ICU
  • Standard ratio: 2 patients to 1 nurse unless 1:1 care is indicated
  • Potential for Med/Surg overflow, with up to 3 to 4 patients per nurse in those situations
  • Minimum of 3 nurses per shift
  • Adult ICU, with occasional stable pediatric patients
  • Unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care
Additional Details
  • 12-hour day or night shifts
  • May float to other departments to help, but not to take a patient assignment/team
  • No call required
Requirements
  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
  • Pediatric experience required
  • Experience in ICU / Critical Care strongly preferred
