This structured, supportive program delivers the education, hands-on experience, and mentorship needed to confidently transition into the NICU specialty and build a strong foundation for long-term success.

This program is an ideal opportunity for RNs seeking to expand their career path, gain specialized expertise, and transition into a rewarding and impactful NICU role.

As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care on infants. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care.

• Attend deliveries and performs neonatal stabilization and admission assessments of newborns
• Create a plan of care, including discharge plans, revise the plans based on the patients' response to treatment and regularly evaluate plans for effectiveness
• Conduct on-going assessments of infants and communicate any changes to Nurse Practitioner or Neonatologist
• Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
• Assist transport teams in stabilization of infants and provide necessary support and documentation to facilitate the transfer
• Provide support and education materials to families on home care, treatments, adoption and support groups
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and assist Nurse Practitioner with resuscitation
• Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice

What qualifications you will need:

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No Travel Required
• 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
