We’re a high-save organization helping nearly 34,000 animals in our community each year and caring for approximately 10,000 across both of our campuses. through sheltering, adoptions and community-centered programs and services that help find pets loving homes and keep them there. We are seeking a Program Marketing Coordinator to join our team at our Reno Campus. Base pay range is calculated by position title, and experience. It is determined within the departmental budget. Changes to the range are approved by the CEO.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our Program Marketing Coordinator plays an important role in advancing Nevada Humane Society’s mission.

As a Program Marketing Coordinator, you contribute to Nevada Humane Society’s (NHS) mission by telling the stories that bring our lifesaving work to life—highlighting the impact of our programs, services, donors, and community partnerships. Your work supports public understanding of how NHS is funded, the breadth of services we offer, and the lives we touch every day. Through warmth, positivity, and compassion using photography, writing, design, social media, and outreach, you reflect our commitment to care for pets, find them homes, and save lives.

Position-Specific Responsibilities
  1. Storytelling & Content Development: Source, write, and design compelling program- and service-focused content that tells the story of NHS’s impact and inspires community support.
  2. Photography/Videography: Capture and edit high-quality images and videos that showcase programs, services, and community outreach; ensure assets are formatted for multiple channels.
  3. Digital, Web & Email: Maintain accurate and engaging program/service pages on the NHS website; create email campaigns to highlight program outcomes, events, and fundraising opportunities. Maintain accurate & appealing in-shelter displays.
  4. Social Media & Engagement: Post regular program updates on NHS social channels, manage a program-focused content calendar in collaboration with the Marketing Director, and engage with followers to promote events and initiatives.
  5. Paid Ads (Basic): Execute targeted, small-scale paid promotions (e.g., boosted posts for events, service campaigns) to increase awareness and participation.
  6. Media & Community Engagement: Support program and service coverage in media appearances, community events, and outreach efforts.
  7. Event & Campaign Support: Collaborate on fundraising events, program launches, and awareness campaigns; produce and distribute supporting materials.
  8. Analytics & Reporting: Monitor program content performance (engagement, participation, donations), share insights with the Marketing Director, and adjust strategies as needed.
  9. Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with other departments and campuses to gather stories, coordinate schedules, and align messaging.
  10. Animal Handling for Marketing: Safely and confidently handle animals of various sizes and species—for promotional purposes.
