Senior Manager, Player Communications and Marketing

New York, New York, United States

The NFL Player Communications and Marketing group is seeking a Senior Manager who will support all 3 units of the Player Operations department โ€“ Player Engagement, Player Relations and Player Communications and Marketing โ€“ to develop data driven strategies that impact player programs, events, education and engagements; and inform overall department strategy. The ideal candidate possesses moderate experience with data systems and analytics tools for visualization/reports, and an understanding of NFL clubs, players, legends and game rules/operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work across Player Ops to create, develop, and track department business plans, including defining strategic priorities, metric creation, measurement, tracking, and reporting of success metrics
  • Manage technology systems related to players and programming including but not limited to Player CRM, NFL Programs, FIS, Legends Business Directory, and ServiceNow, collaborating with NFL IT and external vendors
  • Support the development and analysis of Player Operations alignment with League priorities, strategic insights and growth opportunities based on key League and market trends
  • Player Operations initiatives tracker to track department goals and KPIs.
  • Work across the department to create club dashboards data collection and reporting.
  • Player Operations ERM enterprise risk management
  • Collaborate with Data & Analytics, Management Council, IT, and other internal stakeholders to accurately capture and measure player information.
  • Support department events and initiatives, when applicable

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or analytics
  • Minimum 7-10 years relevant experience
  • Proven management experience
  • Extensive knowledge in all Microsoft programs and data reporting tools
  • Experience in Sport or Player Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in sports management, business, or analytics
  • Fluency in Power BI, Tableau, Dynamics, Qualtrics
  • Knowledge and passion for the sport of football
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
  • Thrive in a team setting and can take directions well.
  • Collaborate with multiple team members in different areas.
