Job description

Grow your journalism career with an international media company while working 100% remotely.

At Key Media, you’ll cover dynamic US business sectors and interview C-suite leaders across mortgage, wealth management, and insurance.

Why this role stands out

  • 100% remote: work from home with flexible hours
  • Medical, dental benefits, EAP & 401(k)
  • International career opportunities: potential secondments across the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe
  • Training & growth: unlimited LinkedIn Learning + ongoing editorial coaching
  • Time off that grows with you: extra vacation day each year of service + one paid volunteer day
  • Prestige brands: write for Mortgage Professional America, , InvestmentNews, Insurance Business America and more
  • Industry-leading events: attend business events like you've never seen them (see IB FutureFest)

You can even work from anywhere in the world for up to 12 weeks each year. Want to file a story from a café in Barcelona or a beach in Bali? Go for it.

Mortgage Professional America, InvestmentNews, and Insurance Business America are trusted, agenda-setting brands read by senior decision-makers across the country. Writing for them means real access: C-suite interviews, market-moving stories, and coverage that shapes industry conversations. You’ll work with sharp global editors who value clean, insightful reporting, and you’ll see your work amplified across digital, newsletters, and events (think the buzz of IB FutureFest). It’s a rare mix of prestige, impact, and global support.

What you’ll be doing:

Writing timely, engaging articles for a portfolio of B2B titles (e.g. Wealth Professional, HRD, Insurance Business, Mortgage Professional, Investment News and others)

• Producing at least two interview-driven stories and one breaking news story with quotes per day, while booking and conducting interviews efficiently as part of your daily routine

Spending at least 60 minutes daily in talk time (phone, Teams and in person), with daily phone activity required
Interviewing and profiling senior executives and industry leaders – often to tight deadlines
Actively chasing contacts, building a strong network of sources and generating original, agenda‑setting story ideas
Producing high‑quality, well‑researched news, features and analysis tailored to professional audiences
Using AI tools as part of your workflow (research support, idea generation, data exploration, first‑draft structuring) while applying strong editorial judgment at every stage
Collaborating with editors and management to grow online traffic, support new and existing products, and explore new markets and format

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in journalism (business/finance/insurance a plus)
  • Strong reporting, interviewing, and deadline discipline
  • Comfortable representing our brands with clients and at events
  • US-based, with occasional domestic travel
  • Curious, proactive, collaborative
