JOB TITLE: Product Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

DRiV is looking for an experienced, innovative, and creative Product Manager to execute on DRiV's Shock Absorber product strategy, product vision, and roadmap for North America.
This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, Finance, Training and Tech Teams, Network Planning, and Executive Leadership to bring DRiV's Ride Control Products in North America to market. This job will require exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.
The ideal candidate must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems and develop solutions with minimal guidance. This individual must be able to think strategically and will be proficient at influencing cross-functionally and deliver strong results. This individual must have the ability to dive deep in understanding the product and the competitive landscape and build best-in-class scalable products.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of the Southfield, MI location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, present and manage the product roadmap and market strategy, that includes P&Ls and managing profitability, and margin improvement projects.
  • Define the product offering and identifies gaps and customer needs by creating vision, strategy and requirements for products; utilizing available studies (market research, internal) and competitive analysis to identify customer needs; identifying relevant components of a competitive analysis.
  • Understand and manage product/services life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product/services development ideation and process management, competitive offerings.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute on product development, integration, and commercialization plans to deliver on business case.
  • Demonstrate expertise at the product level, build partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and make trade-off decisions for products.
  • Provide direction to cross-functional teams, including engineering teams and business functions, communicating the product roadmap and keeping everyone informed of updates and changes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience within product management, purchasing, supply chain, business development, strategy, sales or engineering. 

REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and overall communication skills.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Strong collaboration ability with engineering, sales, marketing and operations.
  • Ability to understand P&L, cost structures and margin drivers.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with customers and partners in commercializing new products.
  • Proficiency with a CRM system and SAP.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, critical thinking, project management and time management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel domestic up to 10%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • On-Site
