Technical Program Manager / Program Manager

Location: Houston, TX

Package: $130,000 - $160,000 + further benefits (Equity)

 

The team is developing advanced battery and energy storage products that must meet the highest standards for safety, reliability, and performance. They’re seeking a Technical Program Manager / Program Manager who can manage the full lifecycle from concept through production ramp, ensuring products are scalable, compliant, and market-ready.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the full lifecycle of new energy storage and battery product launches, from initial concept through production readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of new product initiatives.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables, providing timely progress updates to leadership.
  • Oversee prototype builds, pilot production, and verification phases, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies across technical, cost, and schedule aspects of product development.
  • Optimize manufacturability and scalability through process evaluation, DFMEA/PFMEA, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for supplier and contract manufacturer engagement during production ramp-up.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, or technical program oversight.
  • Previous experience in a similar role such as; Technical Program Manager / Program Manager
  • Practical experience with lithium-ion, lithium-metal, or advanced battery technologies.
  • Knowledge of battery safety protocols, thermal management strategies, and system reliability considerations.
  • Experience delivering products in regulated or high-stakes environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, medical, or industrial sectors).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
