Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Computer Infrastructure Engineer within Systems Engineering and will play a vital part in shaping the future of advanced military radar systems. In this role, you'll manage and maintain physical network hardware and software configurations to support cutting-edge testing and integration processes for classified technologies. You'll leverage your strong understanding of networking principles and specifications, along with advanced skills in Linux operating system administration, to ensure seamless and secure operation of critical systems. This is your opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to national defense while expanding your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

 What You Will Do

  • Administer and maintain systems supporting the SPY-6 radar family, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network issues as they arise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to do so.
  • Conduct regular system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Implement and maintain system security measures in accordance with DoD standards and protocols.
  • Support network configurations, including IP address management, VLAN configurations, SAN and Layer 3 Switches management.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Must be able to Obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • This role is onsite at HII shipyard in Pascagoula, MS.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • AT Level I Certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Security+, etc.)
  • Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain and maintain program access. Top Secret after start.

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, routing protocols, and troubleshooting (e.g., OSPF, BGP, DNS, VLANs). 
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or military environment.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Experience with configuring and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash and/or Python scripting.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
