Responsibilities
  • Responsible for designing, developing, releasing, and maintaining designated software applications.
  • Gather, document, understand, and articulate functional, non-functional, and business requirements that are already defined.
  • Perform unit, regression, and integrations testing for application changes to ensure high quality.
  • Track and monitor production systems for issue identification and prevention across multiple environments and operating platforms.
  • Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
  • Communicate status updates with team members and leaders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Becomes familiar with Alfa's interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand the impact of software
    changes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science or Mathematics is required.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, RDS, DMS, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, and Quicksight).
  • Experience in ETL/ELT processes and tools, relational databases, and data warehousing.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, R, or similar for automation and data integration tasks.
  • Competent communication skills, including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management and product owners
  • Ability to quickly learn and comprehend insurance-related topics and relate that knowledge to the development process.
  • Proven experience in various all SDLC components. Knows when to use different methodologies and how to effectively manage each
  • Documented and proven application development record as it relates to the technologies, tools and languages required for the specified position.
