Job Description Title: Lead Software Engineer Developer 25-198 Resume Due Date: Wednesday, February 18, 2025 (5:00PM EST) Number of Vacancies: 1 Level: MP5, $80 - $100 /hr INC Duration: 12 Months Hours of work: 35 hours Location: 1908 Colonel Sam Drive (Hybrid - 3 days remote) Job Overview The Lead Software Developer/Engineer is a specialist technical role focused on elevating engineering excellence, driving technical strategy, and influencing software development practices for one or more teams. This role involves mentoring engineers, defining architectural direction, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technology with business objectives. Drive engineering excellence by leading system design and architecture decisions, resulting in robust and scalable technical solutions.

Enhance team performance and software quality by mentoring engineers to improve their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities. Elevate development quality and security by advocating for and implementing standards and best practices across teams, leading to consistent and secure software delivery. Align technical solutions with business objectives by collaborating with leadership and stakeholders, fostering innovation and strategic growth.

Strengthen engineering culture by sharing knowledge and fostering cross-team collaboration, contributing to organization-wide technical strategies and improved team synergy. Accelerate software development capabilities by evaluating and implementing new technologies, enhancing efficiency and innovation. Influence strategic direction by participating in discussions and providing technical expertise to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.

Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals and initiatives. Major initiatives or challenges planned for the next 12 months that this role would be leading-New app development, refactoring/retrofitting initiatives (may be 50/50). Qualifications: 15 - 20 years of experience Hands on multi tech stack experience .Net, Node.js, React, Angular, Python Hands on expertise with React/Angular/Node.js/.Net Core along with Linux echo system

Also building containers. Azure cloud experienc3 Domain Driven Design. E- GHE-900 (for git), Azure Associate Certification New systems will be utilizing microservices/serverless, we are also investigating event-driven for near real-time apps, Monolithic for legacy apps.

Experience Moving from ADO to GitHub Enterprise. Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) the candidate support legacy systems, modernization efforts, or specific platforms (e.g., ERP, internal enterprise systems) Strong in distributed system design 80% of time spent on hands on coding and 20% as tech lead This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University in computer science, software engineering or a related field. Requires relevant experience in software development and leadership

Proven ability to mentor engineers, improve team performance, and drive technical excellence. Strong expertise in system architecture, design patterns, and cloud technologies. Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern software development workflows.
